The lawyer referral network that answers in 12 minutes
Since June 2024, lawyers in the Best Era Community have posted 448 referral requests. They reached 49 states. The typical answered request got its first reply in 12 minutes. Best Era never takes or charges a fee for any of it. Here is what 28 months of the #referrals channel shows.
Referral requests are growing every year
The channel opened in June 2024 with a handful of posts. In 2026 it averages about 24 new requests a month. That is roughly one every business day, and each one is a case or a client looking for the right lawyer.
October 2026 runs through the 15th, so it is shown in gray and left out of the averages.
What lawyers ask for
Personal injury leads. Estates, litigation and employment follow close behind. Almost every practice area shows up.
*Other specialties include tax, professional licensing, education, disability benefits, ADA and consumer cases. Experts, doctors and vendors are non-lawyer recommendations.

Post a case at 2:00 and the typical answer arrives before 2:15. Share of all 448 requests with a first reply from another member within each window:

A referral partner in 49 states
Clients don’t stay put, and neither do their problems. More than three out of four requests that named a state were for somewhere outside Connecticut. The busiest states: CT 93, NY 53, FL 26, TX 19, CA 18, MA 13. North Dakota is the only state still waiting for its first request.

A referral is a handshake you can’t make alone
A client calls with a car wreck in Tennessee. You practice in Connecticut. You can search a directory and hope, or you can ask a room of lawyers who already know the good ones. What is the Best Era lawyer referral network?
It is the #referrals channel inside the Best Era Community, a private Slack community of lawyers, law firm owners and legal professionals. Members post the cases they need to refer out, or the help they need in another state, and other members answer with names they trust.
How fast do lawyers get a referral?
The typical answered request gets its first reply in about 12 minutes. 46% of all requests get a reply within 15 minutes, 58% within an hour and 82% within a day. Many conversations then move to direct messages and phone calls.
Which states does the network cover?
Members have asked for referrals in 49 states, plus Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands. North Dakota is the only state without a request yet. Connecticut, New York, Florida, Texas and California see the most activity.
What kinds of cases get referred?
Personal injury leads, followed by trusts, estates and probate, civil and business litigation, employment, real estate and landlord-tenant, family law, business and transactional work, criminal defense, medical malpractice, immigration, bankruptcy and workers' compensation. Members also trade names for experts, doctors, investigators and other vendors.
Does Best Era take a referral fee?
No. Best Era never takes or charges a fee for any referral made in the community. Any fee arrangement between the referring and receiving lawyers is theirs to set, under the Rules of Professional Conduct in their state, such as Rule 1.5(e) on dividing fees. We are committed to helping our community win.
